10 Most Dangerous Places For Children

July 10, 2006

Read this article from Reuters about the ten most dangerous places in the world for children.

1.DARFUR, SUDAN

2.NORTHERN UGANDA

3.DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO (Where United Nations peacekeepers stand accused of sexually exploiting children, giving them food for sex.)

4.IRAQ (Of course it is mentioned that children live worse now than they did under Saddam Hussein. Why did they have to mention that? What about all of the children who were gassed and displaced under his regime and the girls raped and tortured by Saddam’s sons and their thug friends??)

5.SOMALIA (Female genital mutilation is widespread.)

6.INDIA (1.2 million children under five die from malnutrition every year.)

7.AFGHANISTAN (disease is the main killer)

8.PALESTINIAN TERRITORIES (“refugee camps see few better opportunities than joining an armed faction” ??? Is this true? What about how the terrorist organizations like HAMAS use these poor children in the conflict as human shields in order to make themselves look like victims against the “Israeli oppressors”?? Why isn’t that mentioned in the article?)

9.MYANMAR (Many boy soldiers are forced to commit atrocities against ethnic minorities.)

10.CHECHNYA

Now Look at The Countries with the highest birthrates. (from aneki.com)
1 Niger 48.91
2 Uganda 47.45
3 Mali 47.29
4 Afghanistan 47.27
5 Chad 46.50
6 Somalia 46.04
7 Angola 45.14
8 Liberia 44.81
9 Congo, Democratic Republic of the 44.73
10 Burkina Faso 44.46

So more children are being born into these nightmarish environments than in more peaceful nations. I guess progressivism and abortion rights is doing its job.

Notice the US isn’t on the list. . .

I wrote more about the issue of the low birth rate of the West on January 10. Here is the post. Here is a post about a rich selfish Western woman using her “right” to kill her baby because she simply did not have the time for another. Try telling that to the poor refugee woman of Africa struggling to feed her 6 to 7 children!! Wake up Western women!!! Are SUVs really more important than caring for our children?? We complain about feeding our children while living in huge homes, wearing too many outfits, eating out at MacDonald’s, and driving SUVs we don’t need. At least we aren’t running from madmen who take away our food and force us to live in a camp. Do all of those material objects really make our children happier?? I don’t plan to live like an Amish woman and believe in epidurals, but I think it is wrong to choose a luxury item or a career over having children.

Having 10 children in a refugee camp is not smart either by the way (those women do not have the right to say “no” however). These are two extremes. I MUST have that SUV and that huge house so I can’t afford children, and I have no food but since I am a woman and lower than the man I must give in to his desires even if it means I will get pregnant because the Koran says I must do that. I would rather live neither.

I found it!

June 6, 2006

I finally found the most shameful column I believe ever written by a woman. I heard about it on the radio and accidently found it tonight. It is “What Happens When There is No Plan B?” This is the link

This is how it begins, “The conservative politics of the Bush administration forced me to have an abortion I didn’t want. Well, not literally, but let me explain.”

Ha, ha, ha!! As a woman who has had an unexpected pregnancy, that is the most silliest thing I have ever heard.

She forgot to use her diaphram. Didn’t have time to get an emergency contraceptive pill within 72 hours, so that is the right wing conservatives’ fault??

She writes further- “But I feel that this administration gave me practically no choice but to have an unwanted abortion because the way it has politicized religion made it well-nigh impossible for me to get emergency contraception that would have prevented the pregnancy in the first place.

And to think that, all these years after Roe v. Wade became the law of the land, this is what our children have to look forward to as they approach their reproductive years.”

Sorry, honey, but it was YOU who forgot to use the diaphram! When I forgot to take the pill, I didn’t blame the government, or religion. I have two young children. At the time I got pregnant, we could barely afford our $1400 a month rent in Queens and food, etc, plus the fact that our insurance was so expensive. I was not a lawyer. I had to stay at home because it is my choice, and also because I couldn’t afford to put two children in day care. Well, my husband and I were scared to death when I found out I was pregnant. I was in New York, and the doctor even suggested that I get an abortion. Instead, my husband and I decided to take responsibility for our actions and put the child first. We moved out of Queens in order to find cheaper rent and moved closer to my family for support. Yes, we SACRIFICED. That is what parents do. I am not a saint or special, I am a parent. I take responsibility for my actions.

Now life is better. We have enough money to support all of us and now are looking to buy our own home. Sometimes taking the road less traveled leads to more beautiful things. That is the tragedy of abortion. Women are less brave. Abortion vicitmizes women further. Boo hoo, I had sex and got pregnant, now look I HAVE to get an abortion. Pregnancy is tough. Having a child is a very difficult decision. If you must have an abortion, don’t blame it on the president, and certainly have some dignity not to publish your stupidity in a national newspaper. (like blaming your problems on President Bush, how stupid!)
