Three examples of “Victimization”

I noticed in the past few posts I have identified three groups that are regularly targeted by the media and other educational institutions in order to “raise the consciousness” about the victimization of them by the “cultural elites” (in America, the WASPS).

1. Women (boo hoo, I am a 42 year old educated married woman. I had an abortion, it’s the WASP and their evil Conservatism’s fault!) The previous post is my commentary on the column found in the Washington Post in which a woman blames Bush for her having an abortion. Even though she made the choice, in her mind, she is the victim, not her children, her baby, or her family, (probably embarrassed by the column). According to her, the WASPS MADE her have an abortion. Either she is exaggerating facts to make a political point, or she has truly been brainwashed into believing that she is part of the social underclass and thus any trial in life is the fault of the cultural elites.

2. Gays The current move to vote on the marriage amendment, (probably won’t go through) is “victimizing” gays. Except that no one said that homosexuality was illegal. Two people of the same gender cannot possibly marry, since the purpose of marriage is to unite two people of opposite gender legally for the purpose of children. Marriage is not a love union, and never has been. That is why there is a difference between a concubine and a wife. Now I don’t believe we should go back before the days of the love marriage (only about 150 years old), but I do not think we should lie about marriage either. This is simply a push by Marxist activists to brainwash gays to push for something that will destroy a traditional institution. I am sorry, but the last time I checked my Biology book, mammals need the opposite gender in order to procreate. Even in same gender relationship the opposite gender is still needed to bring forth offspring. The marriage amendment would not victimize gays at all. It will only protect the rights of heterosexuals.

3. Illegal Immigrants These poor people broke the law, and now we should not punish them. We should give them more rights than citizens. Heck, even those who sneak in here to be terrorists are victims too. It is the evil white man marine who slaughters innocent children in Iraq who are the true oppressors.

I hope you can see that the culture war against traditional Americans (by the way, I am not WASP)is still going on, attempting sometimes cruelly to destroy the primary culture in order to educate a generation of brainwashed, victimized slaves of a truly oppressive government.

Parent A, Parent B

Looks like “Brave New World” is prophetic.

“Birth certificates are supposed to establish identity and parentage. In Massachusetts, the only state in the union where same-sex marriage is legal, gay rights advocates want the words “Mother” and “Father” removed from birth certificates, and put in their place the terms “Parent A” and “Parent B.” From Foxnews.com

How confusing will that be??? Even if a child came from parent A and parent B, the child will still wonder who his father or mother is. I am still looking for my biological great- grandfather! I am sorry, but it is impossible for those of the same gender to create a child.

Two Fronts of Cultural War

Well, let’s see. I believe that as traditional society continues to bend to the will of Marxists and secularists, fanatical Fascists who have hijacked Christianity, Socialism, and now Islam take advantage of the traditional society’s new weakness. This is true in the case of abortion. As more and more Western women accept abortion as birth control and fight against their traditional roles, Islamicists and other extremists lose more respect for the traditional culture and in an extreme move use that as proof to give women no rights. This happened a lot in Biblical history. Israel would leave the religion and traditions to bend to the will of those of other surrounding kingdoms, then a more ruthless kingdom would then attack the new weaker, vulnerable Israel until they lost all freedom and became oppressed. A person does not have to be a Christian or Jew to see how the pattern in ancient Biblical text applies today, especially if one believes that history is a cycle and that morality can be universally applied (regardless of one’s spiritual beliefs).

Cultural War on Two Fronts

Commentary Magazine has this article on the cultural war in Europe.

George Weigel writes about two separate Cultural Wars being fought currently in Europe. Cultural War A between the secularists and the conservatives (influenced by Gramsci and Marx?) and Cultural War B between Islamic fanatics and Western culture.

I will write my thoughts on this later.

“The first phase in achieving “cultural hegemony” over a nation is the undermining of all elements of traditional culture. Churches are thus transformed into ideology-driven political clubs, with the stress on “social justice” and egalitarianism, with worship reduced to trivialized entertainment, and with age-old doctrinal and moral teachings “modernized” or diminished to the point of irrelevancy [ala the rantings of our Greek-American "useful idiots" who comprise the leadership of such organizations as OCL and GOAL, etc. ed.]. Basic Gramsci Theory

Like Marx, Antonio Gramsci believes in a war of oppressed vs. Oppressor.

The oppressors are the homogeneous ruling class who either by force or hegemony dominate the values in society. In America, the oppressor would be the heterosexual male WASP. His values that he uses to control the oppressed are present in schools, churches and everyday society.

The oppressed are subordinate to the homogeneous ruling class. Groups included are women and minorities among others. Because of the cultural hegemony exercised by the WASP male oppressors, these groups are unaware that they are being oppressed (false consciousness), hence that is why there is no worker revolution as prophesied by Marx.

In order to give the subordinate classes a new kind of consciousness, the leadership “organic intellectuals” will seek to dominate the media, educational institutions, and other mass organizations (film industry and literature. The revolutionaries will seek to replace the ruling class concepts and values and educate the subordinates of their oppression. Values held dear by the old culture will be destroyed. Once the oppressed are giving their new consciousness, then they will begin the Marxist revolution. Ironically, by raising the “oppressed”’s consciousness, they will then oppress them under Marxism! Kind of a trick.

Modern liberals are definitely influenced by Gramsci, perhaps more than Lenin, who started an outright revolution. This is definitely evident in the political movements of the 1960s. Now the Gramscians are raising the consciousness of illegal immigrants (well actually, mainly the Mexicans who crossed the border) (another thought, what the heck is Bush doing??)

In order to fight the liberal’s war on our culture, (I hope I have proved here that “culture war” is a liberal concept originally rather than a Buchananian concept), those who are against Marxism and socialism and a culture of victimhood must again seek to control the media and educational institutions. That movement has been in place, but I do not think that most of those who are against socialist movements know exactly what we are fighting against. This is an organized movement seeking to destroy good values like freedom, equality, and patriotism.
